Ourfuture's NH₃/CO₂ Refrigeration Projects Successfully Pass On-site Acceptance Inspection

July 17, 2026 – Shandong Ourfuture Energy Technology Co., Ltd. successfully passed the on-site acceptance inspection for two projects under Stage II of the HCFC Phase-out Management Plan for China's Industrial and Commercial Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Industry:

• Application of NH₃/CO₂ Cascade Refrigeration Technology to Replace R22 in Compressor Condensing Units
• Application of NH₃/CO₂ Secondary Refrigeration Technology to Replace R22 in Compressor Condensing Units

The acceptance inspection was held in Jinan and jointly organized by the Foreign Environmental Cooperation Center (FECO) of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and the China Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Industry Association (CRAA).

The expert panel included representatives from FECO, CRAA, Shandong University, Hefei General Machinery Research Institute Co., Ltd., the Jiyang Branch of the Jinan Ecological Environment Monitoring Center, and ShineWing Certified Public Accountants, among other organizations.

During the inspection, Ourfuture presented a comprehensive report on the implementation and completion of both projects. The expert panel conducted an on-site inspection of the upgraded production line, prototype equipment, and related manufacturing facilities, followed by technical inquiries and evaluations.

After a thorough review, the expert panel concluded that Ourfuture has successfully completed all project requirements and established the capability for mass production of the new environmentally friendly refrigeration products. The panel unanimously agreed that both projects had successfully passed the on-site acceptance inspection.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Shao Changsheng, Chairman of Shandong Ourfuture Energy Technology Co., Ltd.; Mr. Liu Jiancheng, General Manager; together with representatives from the company's Finance, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Quality Assurance departments.

Supporting China's HCFC Phase-out and Green Refrigeration Transition

According to the National Programme for China's Implementation of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer (2025–2030), China will:

• Prohibit the use of HCFC refrigerants in newly manufactured refrigeration and air-conditioning products from January 1, 2030;
• Prohibit the charging of HFC refrigerants with a Global Warming Potential (GWP) greater than 2,500 in newly manufactured, newly constructed, or expanded industrial and commercial refrigeration equipment and systems from January 1, 2029.
